A note to all who spent Christmas in an airport this year.
I am so sorry. I can't envision a poorer example of bad luck or bad timing or bad judgment. On your behalf, or the airline's or the weatherman's. Just imagining the insidiousness of dealing with the desperate, stranded and hopeless feeling of entrapment and dread, is enough to make me sick.

Not to mention being force to use public restroom facilities for more than a day. Not to mention hearing the repetitive and zombie-like utterings over the PA about the current threat level, and unattended baggage. Not to mention seeing every type of funky traveler on the face of the earth...two, three, four, five times more often than is normally acceptable.

Then the cleanup people, late at night, vacuuming, emptying receptacles, cleaning things. And the beeping little carts that shuffle the old and the handicapped and the infirm.

And, OH MY GOD!!! The kids! The screaming kids. The running kids, the crying kids.

And the god damned businessmen. Always yakking loudly on their cell phones, and talking into thin air on the implanted chip devices that surgeons put in their heads. And the fucking with their laptops. Incessantly.

The price of food and water and any basic survival tools... 5 or 10 times the fair amount.

Anyway....sorry you had to go through all of that. I can certainly empathize.

In the 40 years of my traveling, I've always managed to have it good. Hardly a glitch in all that time.

However, it does not stop me from feeling sorry for what you just went through. I've been paying attention.

I hope next year is much better for you.

You are a true warrior.

Peace.
