Man, I really need some of those infamous Lounge Vibes...
Hey everyone,

I am beyond weary and soundly in 'loopy land' from lack of sleep as I write this plea for lounge vibes. Here's a little background: My best friend was married one year ago yesterday. I was her maid of honor. It was a beautiful wedding, and a beautiful day. My best friend delayed her honeymoon for six months so that her police officer hubby and her holy-shit-state's-attorneys-work-too-hard schedule could accommodate her dream trip: three weeks in Europe. When she returned from that trip, 'hubby' confesses to her that he is not happy.

He tells her that their sex life is boring, and that he is not happy with her. All the while, he was pumping steroids in a lame attempt to 'man up', or address his own personal feelings of inadequacy...whatever. Then come to find out, he's been 'diddling' a nineteen year old *AND* diddling his old partner. (yep, the partner's a man) After she was tested for everything under the sun, she got about the business of the divorce. He moved into her house with a moving truck, and moved out with a suitcase, you should have heard how annoyed he was when we showed up at his townhouse with all of his shit in tow. He wanted to set up his house with time, dontcha know. Welp, the nineteen year oldwound up dumping him for some guy she met on myspace, and he moved on to ANOTHER teeny bopper. This one looks strung out, no I am not kidding.

By now you can imagine that 'us girls' certainly weren't going to let her be alone this December 27th, on what would have been her first anniversary. We were gering up for dinner and drinks, a movie, WHATEVER SHE WANTED, until we got the call...

Her father was rushed to the hospital, his brain stem is bleeding, but he has so many other complications that they may not be able to operate. They moved him from emergency to ICU, but no one really has a lot of hope for anything right now. I personally think he's holding on long enough for her to come to grips her losing her daddy.

I have no words to express how sorry I am, how she did not deserve this. When I got to the hospital last night, she collapsed in ymarms saying, "How much more"? "How much more?"

and I didn't know what to tell her.

It was easy with he husband...I told her that everyday we pray for God to 'deliver us from evil' (or at least we're 'spose to) and He did. God delivered her from that evil so that she could get about finding something REAL. But this? The father collapsing like this ONE YEAR TO THE DAY of her wedding? We're both Daddy's girls. I can only imagine what's happening for her right now.

Please pray for a miracle. If not for her dad to pull through, then for her to have the strength to endure this thing.

And thank you. Thank you to everyone who bothered to read my anonymous little plea.

I haven't slept much, and in between crying and sleep deprivation, I think i'll just take a shower and get back up to the hospital.

12. So sorry, LaydeeBug
This is so very tragic. She is truly blessed to have you there for her.

She will get through this one day at a time....and am keeping her in my thoughts.
Sending love and light for strength....
It is enevitable...she will find inner peace....but for now, please find a bit of solace knowing that she has you and others who love her to lean on.

peace~

but they still need to do a cat scan and they will know whether they is any brain activity at 5:00.

I'm on my way to the hospital now.

30. It seems he is going to pass...
There is very little brain activity and the doctors have said there is nothing more they can do for him. We are waiting on family now, some coming in from Seattle.

I am not kidding this is too much for her to bear. I. am. so. worried.

holidays as well...
My heart goes out to you and to her and her family.
I lost my oldest daughter just after Christmas 11 years ago; I know how tough this kind of loss can be at this time of year...
I'm so sorry.

25. Your 'anonymous little plea' is actually something that would naturally resound
with anyone claiming to have a caring and compassionate heart. I will send you those famous lounge vibes. Especially since I just had my self tuned to some cystal bowls about 5 hours ago. And I sure do feel like sending some goodness back to you and your best friend.

I hope she will have the strength for this. I think she will. It is amazing how strong we can be when we really need to be.

How terrible for her. Life sure sucks sometimes.
