OK, so my New Year's Resolution is....
besides the usual obligatory 'lose weight, get in shape' that just about anyone over forty has to have on their list...

I'm going to try to buy and donate two audiobooks to the local public library every month.
Some of the older ones aren't available as new, and the library can't buy them used...that's policy.
BUT: they CAN accept a donated audiobook (which is 'used' by definition).

So I'm going to comb through the stuff at Amazon that I'd like to see...e.g., Dorothy L. Sayers, Georgette Heyer, Agatha Christie...classics, good stuff, but not brand-new stuff that people are falling all over their feet to record.

Started this month with Terry Pratchett's Carpe Jugulum (the library didn't have a copy of that one and it's been out for quite a few years) and Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express (read by David Suchet, no less! :bounce:)

Can somebody 'splain me how "Audio downloads" work...what they are, sort of thing?
Thanks :hi:
