In the vinyl recording (to which I no longer have access) side one fades out at the end of My Death, which is truly poignant because of the audience's reaction and Bowie's humble "thank you." And in the film IIRC, they show him in his dressing room right after that, obviously delighted at the response.
But the CD melds My Death right into Cracked Actor as though the songs were blended together onstage. Really misses a powerful moment.
I saw the movie in first-run in the theater with my older sister, also a Bowie fan. It's an excellent concert film, and anyone who says otherwise should be catapulted. While I'm at it, I should mention that the Wild-eyed Boy from Freecloud/All the Young Dudes/Oh! You Pretty Things! medley is fantastic.
However, I do feel that the guitar solo in Width of a Circle goes on too long in the film, mime nowithstanding. But maybe that's just me.
