I was browsing (and noshing) through Costco at lunchtime today
and found all five seasons of Babylon 5 for just $18.99 a season. I think I know what I'm doing come payday.

1. My dear TommyO...
Costco is an excellent place for bargains...

If you time it right!

Sounds like you did...

Congrats!

:hi:

4. That's the key, timing (and knowing what something costs elsewhere)
I went in to look at their wall mounts for TVs, I've just moved and have a perfect place to wall mount my 42" LCD, and I want a telescoping, angling, monster, and found one there for a great price. I'll also need a smaller one for a 32" LCD in my bedroom/office that can angle the TV out, and guess what? They had one of those for an even better price!

I sampled a Cabot reduced fat cheese, it was meh...

The French Onion Soup was very good though, and surprisingly low in sodium for a prepared product, you tasted the beef broth and onions, not a salt lick.

The best though, was the fresh mozzarella served with a nice bruschetta topping, YUM! I'm getting some on my way home tonight or tomorrow.

2. Way to feed the enemy, Freeper.
I had no reason to say that, but it seems an obligatory response to any shopping thread, so I thought I'd jump the line with it.

6. Don't forget that Costco is evil too, at least according to Wall Street
They pay their employees too much!

7. Costco is my favorite free lunch spot. I usually make 2 circuits to find
the samples I like, then a couple more visits to the good stuff. I'm not totally crass about it, however - I do pretend to give a crap when the demonstrator gives the sales spiel...

:)

8. I love chatting with the people who are doing the samples
I've even gotten a few good serving tips from some of the better ones. I will say one thing, the samples were better, and more plentiful, just before Christmas and New Year's Eve.

9. My wife did that for a while, and she said it was pretty painful. Few people
acknowledged her, and most of the ones who did were complaining about the sample size or the speed of delivery. I do make a point of saying/doing something pleasant while I'm gorging on free tidbits...

11. My cousin does it now and loves it.
I imagine it can be trying at times though.

I love grazing at Costco!

12. Well, to be totally accurate she was demo-ing at Sam's Club, not Costco
The work environment was probably a bit different.

After this thread, I think I may need to stop off at Costco tomorrow for some "shopping"... ;)
