1. You need a gas leak.

At my old office, the landscapers were repairing the sprinkler system and hit the gas line. Our building didn't even have gas service, but we got a two hour lunch. :D

claim the kickover-surge of the switch from the grid to the generator seems to have broken your terminal. It'll take IT at least 30 minutes to figure out why you have no power to your terminal.

They can't prove you didn't accidentally kick-out the plug.
