The Sham-Wow guy is lying!

Watch for the camera-switch while he's doing the cola demonstration. The first shot clearly shows the fizzy beverage spilling beyond the perimeter of the carpet sample. Then there's a quick cut before he applies the miraculous Sham-Wow to the spill, magically drawing it up from the carpet and even (apparently) from the table beneath, "like a vacuum," says Vince!

The clear implication is that Sham-Wow can suck the spilled liquid up from the subflooring even through dense carpeting; that may or may not be true (I'm doubtful), but the demonstration doesn't bear it out.

I tried to use it to soak up some spilled water on the wood floor. It wasn't the right tool for the job. Probably works great at soaking things up on an impermeable surface but I didn't want to leave the water on the wood that long.

The small one worked somewhat well on wet dog, and one of the big ones very well when a gallon of water was spilled on the kitchen floor. The dog dried quicker than usual, and it sucked that water up better than anything else we have had to use previously - towels, sponges, or the string mop. Didn't exactly make me say "wow" after I used it, but if the sheets last, it's probably worth what we spent.

Works okay, but then, it's made in Germany. And we all know the Germans make great stuff.
