Plant freaks and botanists, Rare book fans, Art connoisseurs (dial up caution)
Ms. Darkstar is working on the COOLEST project: digitizing rare taxonomic and illustrative field guides to plants from around the world and cataloging them. Some texts are over 500 years old! A staggeringly cool project, IMO.

What language is the 1484 book and the 1648 book in? Looks a little bit like Latin.

My son has a job scanning old books for archive.org. I think it is great that all these things are being made accessible to so many people.
