1. Re:Feeling stable
No,I have never been so lucky.

I am constantly plagued with self doubt and worry.

But as I get older, things are slowly getting better for me.

5. Yes--and then I got rocked to my soul a week later.
May not happen to most, but I was feeling very happy and secure--and then came the drama.

Isolated thing in my case, I hope for everyone's sake.

6. Re:Happiness and stability
When most ppl like myself start feeling a little good/stable,
I think it's a sub-conscience effort to sabotage our happiness.

It's not that I don't want happiness and stability, but due to
my upbringing and low self esteem,I think there is a part of me that
feels I am undeserving of it.

However,I now realize that I am a good person, and have to constantly
remind myself of this, when I start to get mentally unhealthy thoughts.

I think working on my confidence, and working on my whole self
is going to be a life long process for me.

And I don't mind, because for the first time in awhile,
I think the future can be good to me.

Mind you,I don't feel this will be in my near future,
more the distant future.lol

But,I am always wishing happiness for everybody else.

Just because my life sucks, doesn't mean it should be like that
for others around me.

9. No. I think a lot of people do feel like things are going so good that
something bad is about to happen. I try to just enjoy the time as it is.

12. Glowing eyes?
I googled and it is a result of the light reflecting off of the retina or a science fiction effect. What do you mean?

13. It's some of the lyrics to my theme song.
"I am a teenage schizoid
The one your parents despise
Psycho Therapy
Now I got glowing eyes

I am a teenage schizoid
Pranks and muggings are fun
Psycho Therapy
Gonna kill someone"

from
Psycho Therapy by the Ramones

15. Thank you.
It's been about 4 years since I had a single drink of vodka. Today has been one of those days I just want a pint and a nice quiet spot off to myself. I just may go on a bender this weekend and promise myself Sunday morning that "I'll never do it again" just to remember better times. :)

17. I saw the PMS post in the flu thread.
Alcohol can help, but you will feel even worse for the wear. Your liver is handling extra hormones right now. However, a nice glass of wine sure can help all the aches. At one time, I considered wine and a magazine as a cure all. Really though for the long run, I suggested B6 in the other thread, but Vit E can really help cramps if you take it daily.

19. How can you get B6?
I know how to get Vitamin E as an oil, because I use that as is already, but B6 comes in injection form, doesn't it? I mean, does it come in any other form as an over the counter type thing or can you get it without a prescription?

20. Yogurt is high in B6.
I think you are thinking of B12, it can come as an injection because its absorption is dependent on other factors. However, you can buy B6 OTC at most groceries that carry nutrients. Take it with a meal and just take 100-200mgs/day. You use Vit E oil on your skin?

22. Oh yeah, Vitamin E oil is great for
fading scars naturally. I know you can get stuff nowadays to fade scars, but I grew up in the 70s before I had ever heard of Scar Fade and those types of things.

I've always been a real klutz(clumsy). I'm very clumsy because I have spina bifida, or at least that's what the doctors always said was the reason. Something to do with my "gait" was off. I'm not sure what that means except I'm clumsy.

So, I was always falling down a lot (still do) and bumping into things like door frames (still do that too), and stubbing my toes, my poor toes.

I had tons of scars growing up, including some very deeps ones. I feel the menstrual pain and headaches and backaches like nobody's business, but because of the spina bifida, my skin doesn't really feel as much pain as the rest of me. My nerve endings on my "extremities" don't act right because of it. I was always getting cut and had lots of scars growing up.

I have this one scar from getting cut on a bag of trash I was taking out when I was a kid. A loose can lid scraped my knee and the weight of the bag of trash made it really dig in. I bled and bled and bled and it left a nasty deep scar and a fold of skin hanging over that probably needed stitches. I never got stitches, but I got a really deep scar from that.

My mother had this Vitamin E oil and told me to start using it as soon as the scab formed. The Vitamin E oil made the scar fade to the point that you really have to look for it nowadays. Back then, it stayed bright red for a long time.

23. We did the same thing.
We did the same thing with Vit E. Thank you for reminding me. It is a good, inexpensive solution for fading scars.

There are quite a few people (~20-25%) with spina bifida occulta or occult spinal dysraphism. Often spina bifida occulta causes no symptoms.

Occult spinal dysraphism on the other hand causes sensory loss and problems associated with that. I understand stretching can be beneficial, especially yoga. Of course ask your MD first, as it is dependent on severity.
