My little white ass is tickled pink when I listen to the music that makes me think.

2. Chuck D didn't need that fool Flavor Flav hogging the spotlight and leaching credibility...
Even Chuck D said that this was the music they should have been writing...

3. Every court needs a jester. Flava was the jester
PE wouldn't have sold nearly as many records with out Flav.

8. That's the only one they have, sadly.

However, Michael Franti has a ton of other things out with Spearhead since then. It's a lot more varied than the straight hip hop of DHoH (his new one is almost all reggae), but Franti's stuff is still outstanding.

On edit - here's a couple recent Franti vids.

9. Like Paris says, the media will take the Flav but not the Chuck.
Flav is safe.

5. Meh. That's the most famous for sure...
But for my money it's Louder Than A Bomb or Black Steel.

To each their own, of course.

7. Meh?
I didn't say it was my favorite.

Maybe "definitive" isn't the best term, but Fight the Power is certainly the one song about which most would be able to say, "Ah, yes, now I remember who they are".
