What kind of depression is it when you feel so much better after eating carbs?
I've been in a funk for the last three months and I just realized my funk is completely depended on how many carbs I have.

I agree with this, have your sugar monitored for a bit, my ex-wife was suffering from this and as Lyric said, it turned out to be pre-diabetic hypoglycemia...a she's a healthy 5'3" 115lb girl in her 20s, so it can affect anyone!

Seasonal Affective Disorder aka hibernation. Carbohydrate craving a known symptom. I know it well.

3. That's the normal kind. Carbs slow seratonin reuptake just like the SSRI drugs.

6. carbs are converted to sugar
sugar produces endorphins. You ought to get the same kind of high from exercise, from sex, from alcohol (sugar again), from some kinds of music. Those are the cues for the body to produce endorphins.
