i have the 25th anniversary edition, i watched the making of and it that first scene still scares me.

22. That first scene is one of the hardest to watch ever.

As I understand the actress playing that part had no idea when she was going to be yanked under so part of the hysteria in her voice was real.

That scene raises the hair on the back of my neck though. It is really disturbing, The terror is so real you can almost smell it.

"They say" I mean I've heard that it gives Great Whites a bad rap, and I don't like that because it's not like humans need a lot more things to make them hate on nature. And great whites really AREN'T about to start taking out vacationers at the beach.. BUT I LOVE that movie, something about the way the pretty fish scares the shit out of people and gobbles them up is just great }( I watch it every few months, it's one of my favorites!
