Good day at church.
Lots of support for my LTTE, and several visitors who were there because of it. One couple met with me after worship about having their baby baptized. When I said I prefer to baptize babies who have at least one parent who's a church member, the man said "Well, that's the other thing...how do we join your church?".

And lots of good responses from my parishioners. The other interesting thing, though, is how many people are worried about my safety...how crazy they think the fundies are. One man asked me if I have a gun. When I said I don't, he suggested I get one "cuz, pastor, they know who you are and they can easily find out where you live." I'm taking my chances. What I've seen this week is that more people think as I do about marriage equality than don't.

I think it was MLK who said "The arc of history is long, but it bends toward justice."

Thanks, DUers for your support, too.

Now, I'm gonna walk the beagle and go see Frost/Nixon. Have a good 'un! :hi:
