HELP!! Need support getting votes in a comic book competition.

I was accepted for this competition DC Comics puts together. Every month they select 10 contestants to post their webcomics on their site and at the end of the month, the contestant with the most votes gets a contract with DC Comics (Weeeeee!). Well I got accepted for this month and I am out beggin' for the votes! Here's a link to my comic "Children of Armegeddon":

15. It's crazy how different she is from her brother.

He was real quiet as a child, but this kid will talk to the freakin' fridge if you let her (Actually. I caught her tickling the fridge once. Don't ask me what that was about! :crazy:).

Trying to get work in comics is really hard work, even with the introduction of the internet. Your best bet is still to hit the big conventions and talking to the editors directly. But I just don't have the cash to make the trips these days. The Zuda competition is such a great opportunity for those that can't make the big conventions for the personal meet and greet.

16. Yeah after the last eight years, I decided to take a little political break.

The Bush years were exhausting! :P

As far as drawing goes I've been keeping busy creating alot of those cartoon maps you'll see of different cities. Hopefully this competition will change that. It will give me a chance to finally do some personal work and get paid for it! :D

22. PS, I like the work -- the art work is gripping & professional. But one nit

Too many women in comics tend to be shown as super-busty, always wearing lipstick, and either braless or wearing push up bras. Lack of body type variety in female character (and a limited range of body types in male characters--most of whom seem to be body builders rather than athletes) is one reason why I quit reading comic books. As my taste in literature grew up, comics seemed to be getting more and more immature and cookie-cutter. Standard body types in this very visual & physical medium seemed to be determined by the tastes of the sorts of guys who think fake boobs and too much make up are attractive.

I know starting out on you career right now, you have to concentrate on making employers happy and establishing your name--frankly, the work I see there makes me think you have bright career prospects ahead in your future--but one day, when you're a made man, it'd be great if you could use your platform to celebrate the diversity of non-Hollywoodified humanity.

26. You are correct, sir! Art Adams is one of the masters!

There's an inker name Walden Wong who was looking for comic work about the same time I was in the 90's. I first met him when we got grouped together to worked on this mini-series called Inmates for this tiny publisher years ago. Now he's currently inking Art Adams on the Hulk. Great guy and probably the hardest working man in comics.

I color my stuff in Photoshop. I saved up last year and bought myself a nice, big Wacom Intuos 3 tablet. If I win this contest, I'm hoping to save up for a Cintiq tablet. Ooooh that'd be sweeeet! :D

Very nice work indeed. It's been a while since I've followed comics (I stopped right around the time Marvel got into re-numbering all of their classic 1960s titles with #1...the post-Jim Lee slump where everyone was trying to draw like Lee and nothing really grabbed me).
