1. Don't know about that one - but I read a quote from a Corvette driver about an electric.
He basically said - "I can blow anything running on gas off of the strip, but that little thing just dusted me."

Electric cars have a far different acceleration curve than gas driven and yes, they can achieve those numbers. The 72 Datsun is by its very nature a conversion car, but the spec-built models are almost certainly going to be faster because their construction is designed for electric rather than gas.
