Students Define "Grinding"
"Where is the line between wholesome dancing and dirty dancing, and how many times can we cross that line during a meeting with the principal?"

6. Except when Katrina and the Waves played there
a devastating performance, now I feel bummed...When I was there they were still working off Camille, six years later. I'd like to go back there, unfortunately the service doesn't give you much of a chance to lay roots...

9. WAR!
No Burdon. He had long since left.

However, since all the troops there had grew up listening to the band, we all knew all the words.

They played outside, in an open field that was on the road toward the classrooms

11. Eric saw the band play somewhre, and wanted to produce them.
Edited on Fri Mar-06-09 07:31 AM by old mark
He did some songs with them, then they went on their own and had a few more well received releases (Low Rider, Why Can't We Be Friends?) and a few good years. They are a really great band and I'd love to have seen them live - I think they may still be playing.
Google War band and check their Wikipedia listing - they have sold over 50 million records!

10. Well, yes, I remember high school something like that
But if you're interested in film, you might be more interested in a documentary like Wiseman's classic High School (1968)
http://www.pbs.org/pov/pov2001/highschool/thefilm.html

Another classic Wiseman documentary about institutions was his Titicut Follies (1967), which is simultaneously a horrific expose of Titicut and also an unconscionable invasion of the privacy of those confined there

12. Grinding in videogames
Edited on Fri Mar-06-09 07:36 AM by Jamastiene
is something else entirely. I see, now that I have 98 Agility in Runescape and I am less than a million XP away from my goal of 99, that I have been doing the wrong kind of grinding. No fucking wonder I'm bored out of my mind and not feeling very satisfied. :dunce:
