2. I rented a movie titled, "Hairy Potter"...
It wasn't at all what I expected. I brought it back.

3. I hope its better than the last few.

The books got better and better as the series went on, yet the movies seem to have started with the best and keep going downhill.

*edit* Holy carp, was that Jim Broadbent as Professor Slughorn? That alone gives me hope, somehow he manages to make movies awesomer just by being there. :)

4. yes it is.
alas, it does break my image of what slughorn would have looked like on the big screen, but he's a damn good actor and will do much justice to the role.

6. See, I thought they went the other way.
Christopher Columbus directed the first two, and they were bloated, overly-literal, and quite unmagical. I thought they've generally trended better since then. None have been as fulfilling as the books, though. But the first ones were, while not horrible, barely passible. To me, I mean.

11. I really wish they would make them longer than 90 minutes.

"How long is it?
EditHistoryDelete

David Heyman said the film was going to be around two and a half hours, and pairing that information with information given by viewers of a test screening in Chicago back in October, it's safe to say the movie is probably somewhere between 2 hours and 25 minutes and 2 hours and 35 minutes"

12. For the last couple they've been talking about possibly splitting the books into two movies each.
But then they never end up doing it and they end up cutting huge swaths of plot out.
