They're all floor models, the extended warranty is available but the providing company is known for not honoring them anyway, and as they are floor models you can imagine how they were abused by non-customers and hyperactive children.

It's also amazing how quickly laptop cooler docks sell in a clearance situation. (30 units gone in 2 weeks? I had no idea so many laptop owners existed in my area.)

I know they made no profit on them, and at 10% off there was a small deal to be had. But I wouldn't be caught dead buying one under those circumstances.

1. I read an article on Yahoo that slammed the Circuit City clearance sales.
It basically said, the real deals were few and far between. Didn’t you post about the crap they were selling before?

2. Yup. COuldn't help making an update as to what crap was left. Mostly crap and laptops...
Which is understandable, floor models sitting out there for so long a period of time would likely be crap too.

3. I think they also put out crap they never actually carried before.
They use the clearance sale mania to sell junk they bought cheap. I think you posted this in your first Circuit City post too. Either that or it was in the Yahoo article.

4. Must've been yahoo - but you're right. I saw a couple items I hadn't seen before...
A ton of Panasonic Viejo TVs and a couple non-name gadgets they could never have had there before.

The liquidators probably shuffle bits and parts from other closing entities I suppose...

5. I read an article that said they're clearance prices were higher than Best Buy and Amazon
The article's author was going to buy a flat screen TV, checked Amazon and Best Buy who had the same model cheaper and asked if Circuit City wanted to match or beat either price to which the rude (but understandable) sales person said hell no. The price is what it is.
