1. It's a very talky movie. No, not a "talkie" movie, but a, you know, *talky* movie

Oh, you know what I mean. It's shinily dressed actors talking a lot in CGI settings about history that didn't happen, occasionally getting interrupted by broken bones ripping out of peoples' arms.

How can anyone find that boring?

2. I just didn't care about any of the characters

Dr. Manhatten had a nice tragic ring to him.

Oh well, I guess I'll put on the end :D

4. I was a huge comic book fan in the 70s & 80s

and, I got all the Watchmen comics the day they hit the stores, but I never really got into the whole story - the characters just didn't appeal to me.

I haven't re-read them since reading through them that first time 23 years ago.

I will probably go to see the movie, and time could have changed my perspective, but I'm not hopeful of anything great.
