18. Actually, our Province is great.
If you like a good argument, which I do.
Plus, as Provinces go, it's a looker.

15. I'll second that.
I was stationed briefly (but not briefly enough) in Labrador. What a God-forsaken place that is. Lucky the Vikings ran out of gas, or they would have turned around and gone back home instead of settling.

4. none
lived in, or hung out extensively in most provinces/territories
all have good parts and bad parts, but overall it is a great country (so is most of the USA too)

I am also probably the only Canadian DU'er who has lived in Nunavut. Maybe I shouldn't have considered it, but I did (:

Did you know that in terms of percentage growth, Nunavut is the fastest-growing Canadian province???

10. Oh my god Saskatchewan what a hell hole.

I have absolutely nothing good to say about Saskatchewan!

Swift Current and Gull Lake can fuck off and die.

My most loathed Province !

If U R unfortunate enough to be from this anomaly my condolences.

Saskatchewan....Saskatchewan....oh how I loath thee....

12. Labrador
I had a friend (Newf, we called him) whose father was a Mountie, and he got dragged up to Northern Labrador to live for two years. He was the only non-native kid in the whole town, the only native English speaker, and the only southern kid. He said they had three weeks of summer there -- one week of nice weather, and then two weeks of the most vicious bugs, so bad he'd pray for the first frost. He also said that where he lived, they roped all the buildings together, because going out in a snowstorm there could literally kill you. If you had to go out for some reason, you followed the ropes with your hand. If you didn't, you were dead, and it is as simple as that.

No thanks! I can't think of anyplace worse than someplace that combines the worst aspects of northerly living with the worst aspects of Maritime living. Bleah! (Saith the Alberta-born Ontarian who likes her land *locked*.)

13. I love Quebec, but I can't speak French...
although Quebec is a beautiful place, part of living there is pride in the language and culture. If I tried to speak French in Quebec, I dread the consequences! :scared:

I would be better off living in British Columbia, and visiting Quebec during the summer...

BTW I'm not a silly Canadian .......yet ;)

But I'm only 3 hours away from BC and will definitely considering the option, depending on the outcome of the election.

17. There are so many great places in Canada
But I never want to live in any province other than BC. I've got family in Ontario and Alberta and visit both places a lot - but I would never live in either.

19. Probably that new one that's really in the North
Can't remember its name right now. I love Newfoundland and Nova Scotia (lots of relatives still in both), Ontario is so cool, I'd like to make it my new home someday, and B.C. rocks. I haven't been to some of the others, but that one in the north must be pretty damned cold.
