Why do they make Diet Pepsi Max?
Seriously, Pepsi Max is already 0 calories. Why would they make a diet version of a 0 calorie drink?

3. Diet Pepsi Max and Pepsi Max are the same thing.
If I'm not mistaken. Marketing and all. The word "diet" sells a lot of shit.

4. "Diet", to me, in reference to soft drinks means...
Edited on Sun Mar-08-09 11:56 PM by LostInAnomie
... "This will taste MUCH worse than the not diet version". Why the hell would anyone want to buy the much worse tasting version of a drink that is essentially already a diet drink?

5. Without the word "diet" in it, it's a high calorie thing.
Advertising the hell out of the "max" marque in the Pepsi line, then adding the "diet" was a pretty brilliant move.

Remember, the attention span of the avg grocery shopper bills with the fruit fly.

6. I bet "diet" bottled water would outsell "regular" two-to-one.

7. I loves me some Pepsi Max!!
Tastes just like the regular, to me. And it's really good with a little touch of bourbon ... although I haven't had that since New Year's.
