U2 Fans: How is the new album?
I've been a huge fan of U2 since "Joshua Tree" and "Rattle and Hum." To be honest, I wasn't that crazy about the last album.

I was debating today about whether to purchase "Horizon" or not.

Any opinions? I have heard one song off the album, "Put on your Boots," and I like it.

1. I've not concentrated on it much, but so far, what I've heard is a bit bland...
You can buy the whole thing on Amazon as MP3 for $3.99

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001S6HZTE/?&tag=Priceg499-20

And of course, you can listen to preview clips there, too.

2. I really like it.
I bought a hard copy the day it came out.

You can listen to the whole album for free here: http://www.in.com/music/track-no-line-on-the-horizon-209489.html

3. Overall I Like It
Although I don't see it changing the world, or anything.

4. It's ok
I think I am going to have to let it grow on me a bit. It's a bit too Eno-ish, and I prefer the Steve Lillywhite influences that came back to the fore on "Atomic Bomb" and "All That You...". A little preoccupied with technique and atmospheric novelties.

5. I love it, but "Put On Your Boots" isn't like the rest
The album is an atmospheric, somewhat experimental U2 that I'd put slightly above How To Dismantle.. but below All That You Can't Leave Behind.

6. I like it a lot
But then I love Bono and U2...

I'm going to brag and name drop right now...a high school classmate of mine is a DJ in Arizona, he just landed in LA and is attending a private concert for 75 performed by U2! I am sofa king jealous and proud! (Mostly jealous)
