1. Looks a bit like the Toyota Matrix.
Cute looking, that's for sure

It's no jeep, though.

4. i'm thinking of signing up to be one of the testers, they just want people who like
smaller cars with stick shifts and that's me and since i'm pissed at my current car having that one for awhile could be fun.

12. Are they just giving them to people?
Or do you have to buy them? I've thought about contacting a car company and seeing if they would give me a car to drive all around the country. Do promotional type stuff and see how many miles I could rack up on it.

2. Looks just like every other car that has been produced in the past 20 years to me.
Is there a such thing as a car that does not look like an egg with wheels?

Anyone remember when cars used to look cool?

I dont- but I saw the pictures.

5. It looks like the bastard child of a Focus and a Prius.

Domestic subcompacts tend to suck, quality-wise. The early Focus years had problems with the wheels falling off while people were driving.

6. Ford's been making that thing everywhere else but the US for years.
This new one would be the Ford Fiesta Mark VIII

9. They brought the Contour over from Europe and that was fairly successful.

It only makes sense from a cost of production sense to design fewer platforms and make them all over the world. GM is starting to do more of that as well.

The sedan, not so much. Sadly, the prototypes almost never look like the final product.
