3. Read the link
It was a torture chamber back in the late 70's and early 80's.

4. I think under Midlo we will go back to torture
in public squares. They will become mandatory attendance events

8. Hah. Shows what you know.
Detainees will be hermetically sealed in one of Midlo's roomier shopping bags with boyMidlo's unlaundered gym socks until they beg for mercy and spill the details of the attack plans.

I was just, literally, getting ready to call you and your beloved.

:whew:

Don't do that.

19. Sorry, sweetheart...
I've got the new job to keep me busy, and I can't post from work. Not that I'd want to do anything that would endanger my job anyway, but...even so.

15. Does it have a real kitchen floor?
If so, I will gladly trade. We have all brand new stainless steel appliances. You'd like it. You definitely couldn't fit all the midlets in here, so pick the least favorite one and they could live in the attic (or crawlspace).

16. It does. However, it's wood and that floor and the family room
are badly in need of refinishing.

Choose a midlet? Hmm. Depends on the day, no the hour.

18. All of our wood floors are badly in need of refinishing
The best wood floors in the whole house are in our bedroom closet. During my unemployment stint/remodeling thing, I decided to rip out our horrible carpeting to expose the nice hardwood floors. I discovered that with the exception of the closet's beautiful hardwood floors, the rest of the bedroom has multi-colored pastel linoleum, ON TOP OF green lineoleum tiles attached to the hardwood with TAR.

WHO THE FUCK PUTS DOUBLE-LAYERS OF LINEOLEUM IN THE MASTER FUCKING BEDROOM!?!?!?!?!?

20. Crap. Right there with you.
There is a company here that advertises 'dust free' refinishing, but I've only seen the car and can't remember the number. The oak dust 10 years ago when we put the floors in was truly catastrophic. THere was a layer on the wall and I would like to avoid that if possible.

21. I'm refinishing the hardwood floors myself sometime this spring and laying in laminate
in the kitchen/dining room. I have NO FUCKING CLUE what to do with our bedroom.

The dust from me fixing (and sanding) the walls in the "mold room" was atrocious.

LostinVA is so lucky she married my handy self.

23. Plywood sub-floor
And the hallway has a mish-mash of tar-covered hardwood and plywood (don't ask...it was covered by carpet when we moved in). I've gotta cut that whole thing out, and replace the sub-floor. Then, put laminate tiles over it.

24. Put in pre-finished hardwoods. You won't regret it.
That stuff is almost apocolytic proof, series. You can get it refinished every year and it will still out live you guys.

That's why we did it. I'm lazy.

25. We'd love to, but it costs more
One day, I plan on having this house be awesome. It will not be anytime soon, though. I did get a very significant raise with my new job, though. We're looking into solar panels and stuff.
