Good morning Lounge
Edited on Tue Mar-10-09 03:51 AM by MissHoneychurch
How are you today?

So I went to my surgeon today because of my toe. I had a surgery on it last November because of an ingrown toenail. Then in December I had to go again because they missed a piece of the nail. Now guess what ... I have problems again. Same toe, same side ... I will have the surgery coming Friday. The saga continues ....

1. Good morning, MissHoney
Lovely picture, as usual!

Sorry to hear about your toe. Foot problems really suck, don't they? Hopefully, third time is a charm, and it will get taken care of for good!

:hi: :loveya:

It really sucks. I have problems with my toe since years. I once had a surgery in the U.S. - no problems whatsoever. The German surgeries ... x(

3. I'm so sorry......
I have also had foot problems for years, so I have to be careful about the shoes I buy. Plus, I also get gel insoles for them, because it does help.

But whenever I see a woman walking by wearing tight, pointy shoes, I flinch!

4. it isn't so much the foot
but the nails. My dad had problems too .. so I know where I got it from. In summer I only wear sandals that are closed in the front. Oh and I found a way to hide my one messed-up toenail. Fake nail :)

I have my mother's bad knees, which she got from my grandfather (and which I unfortunately passed on to my daughter, who has had surgery on both!).

9. Yep.
I have my mom's fingers too.

But I don't much mind, since she isn't around any more. It's kind of cool to look at them, and be reminded of her.

But the bad knees?

Those, I can do without!

28. So far I only have good things from my dad!
He's 95! and has few if any physical problems that I'm aware of. SO, maybe I'll live a long life (I should only be as happy as he's been!) My mother passed when I was young, and I know little about her physical stuff.

SO, carry on!

In the evening dogs are barking outside my condo (when their owners are making the last round with them) ... a lot of rabbits running around there.
This morning a little bit after 7am my above neighbor decided to wake me by playing his guitar ... good thing I was half awake already.

You Europeans ate so civilized :rofl:

The fox was beautiful! I'm glad I checked once I heard the barking though. These two are the size of a healthy rabbit, perfect snack for the fox. The fox just kept circling the house. The dogs were in the driveway and Zeus would lunge forward and bark at it, the fox would turn. Then Egypt would bark, and it turned again. Maybe the fox would have decided they looked tasty....

24. Weekend was lousy.
I was nursing a headache almost the entire weekend. Very unusual for me - don't know what that was all about.

Yes, I did make the Soljanka and damn, I forgot the sour cream. Yours looks better than mine, and I used bratwurst for my meat choice. You must have used more liquid than what I used, so I think I'll change that ratio next time too. Also, I may use a different meat.

Edited on Tue Mar-10-09 06:51 AM by MissHoneychurch
I used Pepperoni, bacon, Jagdwurst (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagdwurst) and Geflügelwurst (Wurst made of chicken). Also I used red and yellow pepper, onions and pickled cucumber (German style). And tomato puree and broth. That's about it.
I am sure your tastes good too. But with different meat. And it sure looks good.

I hope your headache is gone

And get your knees checked out.

was very good, but I'll definitely modify the recipe the next time I made it. Ohhhh, and you added some wonderful ingredients to yours. Now I'm confident that yours is much better than mine.

Yes, my headache broke on Sunday, but still lingered, but not as intense. It's gone now, thank god. I don't know how people who suffer from migraines cope.

Just got in from work and a cute woman that I wrote to wrote back to me. And it wasn't to tell me to go to hell! Yay! I'm making progress. :) She said she didn't have a whole lot of time yesterday and she will write me a "proper response" some time today. Sounds promising.

46. i was looking for news from Germany and found this?!?
Gigolo Gets Six Years for Blackmailing Germany's Richest Woman

A German court has sentenced Swiss gigolo Helg Sgarbi to six years for blackmailing and defrauding Germany's richest woman, Susanne Klatten, and others of millions of euros. The trial lasted just five hours.

A smile for the cameras -- gigolo Helg Sgarbi at the start of his trial on Monday.
The Munich district court reached its verdict in the trial of Swiss gigolo Helg Sgarbi after just five hours because he confessed to extorting millions of euros from Germany's wealthiest heiress -- and three other women.

The 44-year-old Swiss businessman was sentenced to six years in jail. That was less than the nine years the prosecution had demanded because, the judge argued, Sgarbi had admitted his guilt. His defense lawyer had pleaded for a five-year term.

However, Sgarbi won't be given time off for good behavior because he continues to refuse to reveal the whereabouts of the €9.4 million he obtained through fraud and blackmail from billionaire heiress Susanne Klatten and the other women. That means he will have to serve the full six years. Prisoners are often released after serving two-thirds of their sentence, if they behave.
