Christ. I was just in the convenience store to get coffee and the morning paper...
It was 7 AM, and some guy was buying BEER!!

I looked at him, gave him one of these :eyes: , and said "what, you can't even wait until noon"?

Then he punched me in the face.

1. LOL. I can't even imagine leaving the house that early
in presentable enough attire to go buy coffee. Let alone beer.

When I drive my son to school, I am still in my pajamas.

until you get a flat tire. Or end up having to run in the school to give jr. somethin' he left in the back seat. Just ask my kid... LOL!

and yes, that did happen recently.

I'm a magnet for trouble. :eyes:

11. Yup. Dropping BoyM off.
This kid totally T-Boned me, but only slight damage to one rim.

And, to top it all off, I was in my pajamas. Thank God BoyM's class was on the opposite of the building.

14. I'll give you a good story, I had to change a tire when I was 9 months pregnant.
Edited on Tue Mar-10-09 04:45 PM by Lil Missy
Edit:

Oops! I wasn't finished!

I worked the midnight shift, and went to breakfast with the girls. They had all left, and I discovered I had a flat tire.

It was cold and snowy and icy, but I had to pull out the tire jack, pump up the back of the car, and try to change that tire.

You know how it it is when you are that pregnant. No way to bend over or barely move.

So I was flat on my back, trying to navigate. The customers inside the restaurant were so upset at this scene, they sent the dishwasher out to come change my tire. LOL!

Thank gawd, cause I was about ready to bawl.

24. LOL! It wasn't funny at the time! But I can laugh now.
I delivered 2 days later, that's how pregnant I was.

He was born February 25th, in Nebraska. Do you have any idea how fuckin' cold it is that time of year? This was a couple days days before, with snow and ice on the ground.

And here I am, belly up, under the car, trying to change a tire.

Thank god for that kitchen guy. I slipped him a tip too!

Whew!

13. Ever stop to think that maybe he was getting beer for his recently dead wife?
Maybe he was in mourning because of it?

Yeah.

Maybe he also just lost his house because he burned it down, and realized, shit, he forgot to take the beer out of the fridge?

What, I guy mourning the loss of his house can't replace the beer he lost any more? Have we gotten that PC?

I hope you feel real small now.

You never know what people are experiencing in their lives.

I can't tell you the number of times I've been buying beer at 7 am for a dead wife, and some insensitive jackass says "Gee, starting early today?"
