Charles Taylor's departure...absolutely RIVETING!
Wow, watching all those people standing around.
My blood pressure's jumped 20 points.
I'll have to turn it off. Can't take the excitement at my advanced years.
JEEBUS! One reporter is "ACTUALLY STANDING ON A SET OF AIRCRAFT STEPS AT THE AIRPORT!"

This is definitely Pulitzer stuff. Talk about your hard-hitting journalism.
Man oh man.

2. I caught a part of it (muted) as Taylor was

entering the plane. and I noticed after that, a man standing on the planes steps, apparently talking and waving his hands about. his talk seemed aimed at one man even tho he was surrounded by other men. this went on so long I stopped watching.

do you know what that was about?

4. There is no way this was worth an hour of CNN airtime!
Since exactly when does the viewing public give Shit One about Liberia in general and its embattled leader stepping down in particular?

If you want to believe the TV consultants*, political news is ratings poison. Amerikan nets will not give 18 seconds to anything substantive concerning politics in this country, unless it's to bleat "Republicans good, Democrats baaa-aad."

So why is Charles Taylor's resignation and departure suddenly newsworthy?

:wtf:
