Where can you see an actual Mayan calendar?
I'd like to see one in it's orginal context in a temple complex or something like that. Or if not that, in a museum. Anybody know?

3. Which one? The Mayans used a lot of calendars...
with the basics all in a neat Wiki article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayan_calendar

Now, if you want to see what the Mayans actually used:
http://mayaportal.lucita.net/

(BTW, the Mayans did NOT say the world will end in 2012-- just that the calendar would end, and new one would start.)

6. my friend created an iPhone/iPod app called iMaya
He is an archaeologist. The application provides the long count for the current date, and any date you select, plus gives you a "this date in Maya history"

Check it out at the app store....
