There is a security guard at this gas station I frequent. He is a double amputee.
His arms are cut off at the elbow. I am amazed at what he can do. I do wonder about how he does certain tasks, but it really is inspiring.

I do worry about what would happen if the place got robbed or something, but I know he wouldn't have been hired if he couldn't react properly.

I would love to ask him about how he has taught himself to do all of the things he is capable of doing, but I don't want to seem nosy or offend him.

2. Only at the ones downtown. I assume he works there.
I have seen him there a couple of times. Maybe he just stops in every morning like me.

3. The idea of security guards at gas stations is alien to me
I travel though some of the highest crime cities in the nation, like Newark NJ and I don't see guards. Then again in NJ we don't pump our own gas, so maybe that's why it's different

4. I could be wrong. I can't say that I recall seeing guards anywhere
else. But it didn't seem weird to me either. The capital is right down the street. But who knows? He could just hang out there in the mornings.
