When will Sean Penn make another good movie like Fast Times at Ridgemont High?

Enough of his phoned-in performances like Milk and The Assassination of Richard Nixon. Let's see him in a good film again, for once.

9. Doesn't that movie just cry out for a sequel? "Slow Times at Ridgemont Paper, Inc,"
where Spicolli is a wisecracking alcoholic janitor, Phoebe Cates is his cheating wife, Jennifer Jason Leigh is the plant's owner... Each is dealing with midlife crises, workplace violence, substance abuse, STDs, etc?

14. That would answer SO many question left hanging in the first one.
Questions about the meaning of life, the futility of existence, the unbearable lightness of... of... something...

8. He did that episode of "Two and a Half Men"
that was pretty damn funny. He and Elvis Costello were a riot.

23. He was a blast when he 'came out' on Ellen
The sitcom, not the daytime talk show.

7. That's why it's called acting
Any teenster/twenty-something can play a high school stoner. Let's see a guy of 48 pull it off.

25. Never seen the movie. I was in high school when it came out and
the last thing I wanted was to be reminded of high school once I graduated.
