I hate packing for a trip, either I overpack or underpack.
I don't need much, just be gone for a few days and I still be in town.

I really enjoy going to this convention.

1. Just make sure that if you're going to overpack one thing, it'd better be underwear.
... not that I would know from experience or anything.

4. I only need to pack two changes of clothes.
Then I get a t-shirt from the convention.

This year I will only pack two extra t-shirts and jeans.

I think I will pack a pair of sweatpants, it is suppose to be cold.

Then I need to pack the camera gear and the other stuff.

I always forget something.

5. That's all I ever pack
I travel quite a bit and after years of trial and error I've learned how to pack light. If I'm there over 3 days I just plan on doing laundry. Laundry soap is smaller and ligher than packing extra sets of clothes. I will even do laundry in the hotel room sink if I have to.

I have a carry on sized bag that rolls around and also can be carried on my back like a backpack. It's all I ever need.

6. i have a go away bag for bathroom stuff always full and ready to go
it only has small sizes in it. saves time and overpacking because i just pick it up and go (i throw in my extra glasses --that's the only thing).

then i decide what i'm going to wear each day and lay out each day's clothes, then an extra tshirt and socks.

then it all goes in the suitcase.

usually takes me about 20 minutes to pack whether going away a week or 2 days.

i travel for work here and there so the system helps me not forget things. it also simplifies and shortens preparation and unpacking.

8. After a career of traveling, I've found I pack less and less
You eventually figure out what you need and that's that. The only extra I carry is a thin fleece to wear under a jacket. Some trips can take me from cold to very warm climates within a day.

Enjoy your convention!
