On Tuesday March 10, Colbert recorded an interview with a Kennedy Space Ctr guy talking about the new telescope being launched.
This is what the they said

Colbert: "When your sending rockets into space, is there any worry that one of them will hit a flock of space geese and have to land in the hudson."
Nasa guy:"Actually on one of the shuttle launches about a year ago we actually hit a vulture, so we actually have bird radar that actually tracks the birds in the area to make sure we are clear of birds before we go launch"
Colbert: "you know what would help, you could strap a scarecrow to the top of that thing"
Nasa Guy:"If you actually go look at the launch pad, there is a stuffed owl that sits on the launch pad, and its there to scare away wood peckers that sometimes decide to peck holes in the side of the tanks and nest especially in the spring."
Colbert: "Its us or them, I always said it."
(Note Colbert's final line is really common, and really big in some groups, I don't agree with it, but do like Colbert and his humor.)
Then the next day. March 11th.
http://news.scotsman.com/world/Gas--leak-leaves-space.5063698.jp (first news search hit a web site called the scotsman) another little coincidence don't you think.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft%3Aen-us%3AIE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7GGLJ_en-GB&q=space+shuttle+delay+newsNASA postponed the launch of the space shuttle Discovery just hours before it was to head to the international space station last night because of a hydrogen gas leak that could have been catastrophic at lift-off.
The leak was in a different part of the system that already has caused a one-month delay. Managers put off the launch until Monday, but left open the possibility that the repair work might allow for an attempt on Sunday.
The latest delay means Discovery's two-week flight must be shortened and some space walks cut out of the mission. If Discovery is not able to launch on Monday, then the mission will have to wait until April.
The hydrogen gas began leaking just as the launch team was close to wrapping up the loading of Discovery's external fuel tank for a late night lift-off. The seven astronauts had yet to board the spaceship.
Allard Beutel, a Nasa spokesman, said the small leak was in plumbing on the outside pf Discovery, near the fuel tank and a hydrogen gas-venting line, but had nothing to do with the valves, the area of the previous concernsSo what do you think
Coincidence
unrelated stretch of circumstances
Who owl
Woodpecker
Manufactured News for other intent
Preplanned comment, knowing launch would be postponed for some other reason, and leak was an excuse.
Anyone else got a guess?
 might be all coincidence, a cosmic thing, or an engineered messaging thing.
