Why does my wireless phone have a world clock?

I like my phone*, but, by Odin's eyepatch, why does it need a world clock? It's a CDMA phone, so even if I were the kind of hotshot business traveler who immediately needs to know what time it is in Baku, it's not like I'd be using this phone to find out. It's just marvelously silly. Wheeeeeee!

I'm in multiple time zones each week. I can always set the alarm to local wake up time wherever I am, and there are no worries.
