9. Eventually I convinced the guy that no, I really couldn't update the software if the unit won't stay

on for more than 10 seconds at a stretch, and yes, I really should send it in for repair or replacement.

And then I got off the phone and the kid informed me that the Wii won't power on. So now I'm mailing that in for repairs, too.

I think I'm going back to bed and starting over tomorrow.
