So it seems my marriage really is over.

He's returned to Prague and our son and I will move to an apartment in May. Since I am not employed, we will hold off on the divorce until I can obtain medical coverage--I will credit him with that much.

I really never imagined it would come to this since he seemed to really want to repair things when he returned here, but somehow things never clicked.

Still, thank you to those of you who sent your best wishes our way--it's not the happiest of outcomes but it still appears that it is the best.

We DUers really are a weird, rowdy, motley, but happy neighborhood bar--and I love you all for helping me through this. You really have helped lift my spirits.

Divorce is never easy, even when you want it. You do get through it, though, and move on to bigger and better things. I've only been divorced for three years, but my life is a lot better now than it was when I was married-- and she was the one who wanted the divorce!

I had been hopeful that you two would pull it off, but some things I guess just aren't meant to be. Don't blame yourself, and it is just the way some things go. That is something that he will keep you on the medical coverage. Don't know how long things take where you live. I thought things would happen fast but all in all it took a long time to actually get the divorce final. Hope that it goes smoothly and without too much pain for you.
