I didn't like the show at first. I thought the Molly Shannon character (Kath) was lacking. But I've since grown fond of the program. I even laugh out loud at some of the bits.

I haven't seen the Australian original.

1. The original was much better, imo.

As is usually the case. I've given the US version a couple of chances, but it just doesn't do it for me. A few yucks get through though.

2. Stupidity can be funny.

But, self-absorbed stupidity rarely makes me laugh.

Maybe if the show had one character who wasn't a complete tool.

Lately I've been watching it with the sound down, fast-forwarding to the Selma Blair in shorts scenes.

I saw the American version and thought it was just...bizarre
