3. if she didn't insist on 4-5-6" heels, she'd walk just fine
:hi: I don't understand the painfully-high-heels trend. Just don't. The dress needs a delicate shoe, but not a ridiculous shoe!

20. I so agree on the dress, but I think a ridiculous shoe
looks great. And by ridiculous, I mean the black pump she is wearing. I am one of those freaks who likes high heels. I don't do 6 inchers, but I do wear 4 inch heels daily. I am only 5'4", I like the extra height! What can I say?

That is a pretty color too. It wouldn't look as good on my skin tone though!! :)

22. your poor feet!
Actually, though, I used to wear high heels every day, and got used to it. I'm 5'7", and my husband is 6'4", so I'll wear 3-4 inch heels every once in a while...

24. So glad I grew up in the late 60's and early 70's....
Sandals, construction boots, or barefoot. Absolutely NO high heels.

2. My dear Flaxbee!
It is beautiful, but waaaaaay too short for me!

It looks almost like tunic length...

4. yes, it would take a brave person and a breeze-free day!
:D

I'd probably like it a bit longer - an inch or two above the knee.

Edited on Sun Mar-15-09 04:19 AM by Adsos Letter
...but you gotta' post a photo when you get it... :D

Edit: for spelling...but I plead innocent due to the , uh, impact that dress had on the, uh, spelling portion of my brain... :dunce:

Who is it wearing that delightful creation?

8. I wish I knew who designed it!
And thank you for the compliment! :D

It could be one of her own designs...

I could pull that dress off, though just for comfort's sake, I'd probably have the hem a little lower, but not much. I got my mom's legs, for which I will always be thankful.

though her topside is surgically enhanced; her tatas used to match her frame better. I think a low-cut dress or blouse on a woman of less voluptuousness still looks great, though. In fact, I think it can look - classier.

so why do people freak out about nursing babies?

14. I think both spelling is correct.
The store we went to spelled it "saree" but I have seen shop names like "Sari Palace" too.

I did comment to my friend driving us around how interesting it is that so many other cultures of the world have such vibrant clothing styles (Africa, India, Indonesia, Native peoples) and then you look at the US and wonder where the imagination went. Her comment was that it was the Puritans' fault and I tend to agree :P

12. no, she needs to eat
there's a rather horrific photo of her from earlier this week showing her neck:

She's way, way, waaayyyyyy too thin. Poor thing. She's really gone through some body distortions - too thin, too large breast implants for her frame ...

Edited on Sun Mar-15-09 07:42 PM by LisaL
She looks very thin. The woman had three kids, I believe, which sometimes makes a woman gain some weight. Obviously not her, though. Look at her skinny arms and legs. That skinny body makes her head look big.

28. When you starve yourself like that, eating Celery would cause her to gain wait
She is hardly a glamour girl.

And I don't want any bullshit about "Oh I'm naturally that thin and I'm tired of we thin girls getting shit". Victoria Beckham was never that anorexic when she was a spice girl.

Although it is stunning. Even in my much younger, much skinnier days I couldn't have pulled off wearing that dress, though: I think one needs to be built like Barbie.

19. You know the rules . . .
You have to best underpants in a two out of three falls contest or to a TV time limit. Referee, as usual, will be Mills Lane.

be much easier to put a few pounds on that one than to remove the middle-age spread I've been trying unsuccessfully to shed for quite some time!!

27. It's a beautiful dress. To bad that it's being worn by Skeletor
And yes, I realize that some of you DUers out there can't help it but be naturally thin. But if you find any picture of Victoria Beckham back when she was Posh Spice of the Spice Girls you'll know that clearly that is not the case.

That's her on the left during the Spice Girl years when she actually looked healthy
