So how much, exactly, are cigarettes going up in price?
Husband smokes but not me. I'm having a hard time finding out info..so the gov. is increasing taxes, and so are the manufacturers? There are two separate increases, which means that cigs are already going up now, and on April 1st they'll go up more, right?? I'm confused. Can anyone point to a good information source? Thanks...

3. As of today, they are now $4.29 a pack
here in Georgia. I usually buy a carton at the Quik Trip gas station. But today, I only bought one pack at Kroger until I get to the gas station in the morning. Usually, a carton would run about $28 to $30. Don't know what it will cost me when I stop at the Quik Trip tomorrow morning. I suspect about $35 to $40 for a carton.

4. I don't smoke but out od curiosity
I remember a big deal a few years ago about buying cigarettes online from Indian reservations. At that time since they were 'sovereign' they did not charge taxes. Does that still hold?

6. I buy them at the Indian smoke shops here in OK.
They went from $3.50/pk to $4.25 the other day. That's the only way I buy them because I really want to quit so I don't keep cartons around.

10. Depending on where you go
they're around $5/pack. It used to be under 5 but after the last fed increase a few years ago I think it went up to about $5.40.

Bi-Baby's in Greenfield right now and she's going to cross the border to pick up a few cartons.

When I started smoking in the mid-90's it cost $2.25 a pack. Prior to buying packs I used to buy 4 loosies for a dollar a day. The store got busted for that so I had to start buying packs.

18. Holy shit!
I quit almost 4 years ago after 20 years of smoking, and my pack of Camel Ultra Lights cost (if I remember) a little under 3 bucks a pack. If I still smoked now, I might consider the geners, what are they called, Dorals or something?
