2. Drink.
Admittedly, I'm not a fan. My family loves it though so any family function between now and next fall will be spent in front of the tv watching it. So...we drink and watch and eat guacamole.

3. Gotchya
I don't get it myself - we watched it once with some serious NASCAR fans, and they were reading all these intricacies into the race - I have to say they were much more interesting than what was going on on TV...

But still, I just don't get it...

If we're talking mindless shenanigans, give me Baseball anyday...

4. SOCCER fans: so what do you guys do while you're waiting for them to stop running around?
It's a legitimate question. I know there's supposed to be all this beauty and skill on the soccer pitch, but to me it looks like twenty guys just running up and down the field.

5. if you see a soccer game at ground level you`d be surprised.
i watched the women`s us soccer team several rows up from the field and it really is something. soccer seems boring if you do not understand the game plus television can not capture subtleties of the play.

well i coached youth soccer for about 18 yrs so i`m a bit biased.

6. the difference between chess and checkers
is the equivalent of soccer and most other field games.

Soccer is not a game for those who seek instant gratification...but for those who see sport as both a physical and cerebral competition...
