Gracie's disappeared
I'm not leaving town until I find her. She's spent the last two days under a blanket in my room. We've been so careful not to leave any doors open, but she had to have slipped out somehow.

I'm not leaving my baby girl 450 miles from our new home.

3. I got her when she was a year old
She trusted no one. Now, after 7 years, I'm her anchor. She needs me and I need her. x(

14. found her
She had gotten down into the basement. After 20 minutes of giving her yogurt and coaxing and her shrieking (never heard a meow like that), she ran upstairs. She took one look at DA and tried to bolt back down but I caught her.

Gawd I'll be glad when this day is over...

17. oh, thank god, lizzie! The second I read that I started to panic
with you.

When we moved 4 years ago, the late, great, much beloved Tommycat took off, too. Went on walkabout in the woods, but showed up at midnight. I wouldn't have left, either. So glad you found her.

8. I agree with DS1. I think she's hiding somewhere to get
away from all the hustle and bustle.

You'll find her. :loveya:

11. Please look up under your box springs.
Our cat was gone a week when we had the house on the market. We thought he'd run out the door. We had ads in the newspaper and around the neighborhood. After a week of losing hope, we saw our dog nosing around under the bed and was wagging his tail. When I looked under there, there was David Mills. He'd dug a hole in the bottom of the box springs and had crawled up in there. Here we were sleeping on him every night!

12. My cat did that last time we moved.
Couldn't find him anywhere. Swore he must have gotten out. Went back a few hours later--he was in a bedroom window hiding behind a curtain. My point is, maybe she's just hiding-really well.
I hope she comes out soon.

13. Have you checked all your furniture? There was a story here just a few days ago
that someone had bought a used sofa and found the previous owners cat inside it after several days. I hope you find her soon.
