Alison and I will celebrate our first anniversary at Yosemite this coming weekend.

Right now I almost finished re-carving the wax for new wedding rings, and I might be able to cast them tonight, or certainly tomorrow.

A year ago I had not cast my rings till the day before the ceremony.. Needless to say I would have met my end had I not had something to put on my wife's finger during the ceremony.

We are taking Friday off, and heading north to Yosemite, a 3.5 hour drive. I have never been there in the spring. The waterfalls and rivers should be lit up with runoff, wild flowers poking their little heads through the snow, bold deer, grumpy bears, the whole beautiful shooting match.

Married life is good, and now I wonder why I waited till I was 50 before trying it.
