If you post something obscure and nobody grasps it, does it make a sound?
This is actually a serious question. There are posts that I don't enter because the subject seems, well, obscure. Then I notice it has many hits and responses and I'll hit it and still find it, well, obscure. Did it make a sound?

Then there are the really deep and thoughtful posts with multiple threads of discussion that have low hit numbers.

I blame it on gnomes. Somewhere in the system, gnomes are manipulating the hit counts and replies. It always comes back to those damn gnomes. PILL LADY! PILL LADY!
