To say they suck is to discredit the work of hardworking whores out there right now

:grr::grr::grr::grr:

Trying to simply BUY and download the 2009 Norton Anti-virus software I get a message about "installing ActiveX"
no button, no how to, I guess I am just supposed to KNOW how to do that

:grr::grr::grr::grr:

I did apologize to the woman in India who had the misfortune of getting my call ...then she started reading from the script/flow chart again
skipping over steps (I made it pretty clear that I was having computer troubles :eyes: ) and clearly not listening to anything I was saying

:grr::grr::grr::grr:

I signed up for Facebook last week at the urging of a friend and next thing I know IE is running constantly (even though I use Mozilla FireFox)
and this thing is incredibly slow ...except on DU :shrug:

Norton takes two hours to freakin' scan to :grr::grr::grr::grr:

We defragged last night at it is still horrible.

1. Forget Norton-it's a POS
Get AVG or Avast-both free and they work.

2. Norton Anti-Virus = Bose speaker systems
If its quality was 1/3rd as good as its marketing, I'd own it.

3. Use a firewall and Opera instead. Virus/popup/adware/spyware
problems solved. Norton was good 10 years ago, but they have been bought out, and are really a virus themselves these days...

4. Norton sucks
I am a total idiot about computer stuff (middle aged female - no real experience before 2002 or so) and even I got rid of norton - go to the computer forum and read up a bit.

Ask for help - they are so good in there, I can't say enough about the DU computer peeps.
