St. Patrick's and New Year's Eve... promoting drunk driving for tradition!
Edited on Tue Mar-17-09 01:28 PM by gmoney
Just heard from a friend that one of his co-workers lost all four of her teenage long-term foster kids to a drunk driver last night... the teens were not drinking at all, but the other driver was at double the legal limit. Don't know the details, but I'd wager it's someone out "celebrating" St Patrick's Day a wee bit early. If I found the right story, the woman who caused the accident only sustained minor injuries, and deservedly faces four counts of second degree murder.

Seems the drivers often survive these accidents... maybe it's the cosmos' way of saying death is too good for 'em.

So, if you insist on celebrating this "holiday" by getting shitfaced, have a sober grown-up there to make sure you don't kill anyone else.

Donnie Downer, signing off...

1. The drunks don't tense up before impact
because they're not aware one is about to happen. Apparently the trick to relax when getting t-boned by someone going twice your speed.

sigh.

Poor co-worker. Probably medically sedated by now
