Well, 1/2 Irish, anyway.
Her mom was English.
But that's close enough for me.
She's making the cb&c.
We're bringing the spuds.

Question: Is it OK to drink Scotch whiskey on St. Patrick's Day?
I don't want to offend, but I don't think Irish whiskey will be available.
;-)

3. So are we. Well, kind of.
Corned beef and potatoes. No cabbage. And it's with an actual Irish person, my mother. 100%, from Limerick.

That's what one of my 100% Irish friends calls her 'mom'.

7. Well, Scotland was actually settled by the Dalriada Clan.
They ran the Picts out of western Scotland, so, technically every Gael in Scotland is descended from Eire, so Scotch is an Irish invention.

Guinness for me tonite. Slainte Mhath!

13. That's a relief. BTW, haven't had a Guinness in years.
Used to fly with a bunch of Irish guys and really developed a taste for it.

10. Boxty on the griddle,

Boxty in the pan,

If you can't make boxty,

You'll never get a man.

I had to look it up.
Sounds good.

14. Didn't think you could make it in time.
Or had time to make plane reservations.
And I wasn't the host, anyway.
But I'm sure Tishy would have invited you if she had known you'd like to be there.
She's very accommodating that way.

15. After Action Report: It was a good party...except...
For the retired FBI agent who still thinks J. Edgar was a giant among men and a hell of a crime fighter.
If you guessed he's a rignt-winger, you'd be right.
:eyes:

Anyway, outside of that creep Miz t. I had a great time.
Was nursing just a teeny hangover this a.m.
Getting all better now.
Hair of the dog and all that.
:toast:
