For Battlestar Galactica Fans, Was This New Series A Re-Imagining Or....
A continuation of the original series?

Is the first Cylon war that they're referring to in this current series really the attack that took place in the original series?

Remember how the original series ended? The people from the colonies blended into earth.

1. No, we do not want to remember "Galactica: 1980"
I think it's a reimaging or a reboot

The new BSG is awesome!

2. Reimagining -- and a very good one, imo
I will miss the show very, very much.

5. Last week's Entertainment Weekly had a great article on just that subject
Too bad I can't find it online. If I read it correctly, it is not a continuation. I wish I could remember more about what I read, sorry!

8. No ...

I'm just obsessive about BSG.

... and I happened to be reading a blog about five minutes before I read this that linked to it. :)

11. I hate to admit ...

I was one of those people Moore refers to upon learning that Starbuck was to be a woman. ''There can never be peace between us! Blood has been spilled!"

I felt it was pandering.

I was completely wrong. Starbuck is one of the characters that makes the show, and I can't now imagine that character as anything but a woman.

12. I was skeptical as well...........
But like you, Starbuck is no longer "Faceman in Space". Its Kara Thrace all the way, baby.

9. More like a reboot
They took a few names and the original premise - cylon induced holocaust, then BSG leads the surviving humans in an attempt to find earth. The new series was much darker and far more complex.
