What does the buddy list do, exactly?
I really have no clue. It's not like it's "ignored" in reverse.

1. It acts sort of like an address book in a way
If I want to send someone a message I don't have to hunt down a post and click the mail icon. I can go straight to my buddy list

I don't like ignore. I only have two people on ignore. I do use the buddy list to keep track of trolls, though.

5. I don't like ignore, but I get in moods where I will suddeny put half a dozen people on ignore
.. then I mellow out in a month or so and take them back off. I never thought of the troll tracking angle.
