It's gotten colder again here as well, and it's going to rain. I want 70. And sunny. Now.

Mom was alert and attentive last night. I'm going over right after work and see her, the hospital is a half mile from the shop. They found an infection in her toe as well which may well be the cause of her bouts with pain the last few weeks.

Oh, I know you're right. Drywall makes such a mess. I'm glad C told me to put paper on the floors. The entire floor is covered with pink paper. They haven't even started on the mud yet, but just putting up the panels makes all kinds of crumbs and such. Maybe I'll take a "during" pic for you today. LOL!

26. Everything changes

after you turn 30 ... and 40 ... and 50. It gets harder to keep the weight off. I'm sure there's a scientific explanation for it. Actually, for women, it's safer for their bones to put on a little weight as they age -- minimizes the risk of a hip fracture. But you're not old enough to worry about that!

I took a few pics just now. But I don't even have enough room to plug a USB into my computer at the moment. Too many piles of stuff! x(

But the stress keeps me from eating right or exercising. Well, actually, all my exercise equipment is folded up at the moment, so I have a perfect excuse! :rofl:

I carved out the place first. Then the mess grew around me. We had to empty out the other room as much as possible and I have lights that will go up in all the room sitting on the floor and tables in here. Things should look pretty good by the end of next week. :bounce:

my obnoxious downstairs neighbor locked herself out twice last night - in the middle of the night, separated by a couple of hours, and for some reason, she thought I was the person to wake up to let her in, both times. She leaned on the doorbell (which is startling, even when you are expecting it, but when you're not, and waking up from a deep sleep...might as well give me a heart attack). And she didn't just lean on the doorbell. She also started screaming bloody murder - like there really was an emergency. So I had to get up, put on something resembling clothes, grab my cell, and wake up enough, just in case something really bad was happening. I'd already not had enough sleep this week, and now I feel like I didn't sleep much at all last night. :-( I really, really want her gone.

I know eviction proceedings were started against her, but it's been a month and she's still here, so I assume they worked something out.

She strikes me as ridiculously irresponsible and untrustworthy, and some of the men she's bringing into the building worry me. There are three apartments in the building - and they are all rented by women...I hate to worry needlessly, but sometimes you have to be aware and cautious.

I'm starting a log of all the issues we've had. Things like the front door of the building not being locked, or that she's smoking enough pot to have it drift up into my apartment (and not just a little bit), or the maniac screaming at 4:00 in the morning. All of these have happened several times. I hate being a prude or a bad neighbor, but at some point I have to start complaining.
