Shoe size inflation? Or maybe I mean deflation.

I was trying on a pair of Converse today and my usual size, 9, was half an inch too big. I finally bought an 8. Now I know that what was once a size ten is now a size six in dresses, but is this also happening with shoes? Weird. Also very important. :P

6. Well, that's my point. Before I had my first child, I was a size eight.

Three children later, I'm a size nine and have been for almost ten years. Suddenly I'm an eight again. I noticed the same thing recently, that I've been fitting 8 1/2 better than 9.

Having children does you in, by god!

4. That's funny, I've found it to be the opposite

15 years ago, I used to wear a size 13 American. Nowadays, I'm wearing a 12 or a 12 1/2. I'm fairly certain my feet have not been shrinking, especially since the rest of me has been, erm, expanding.
