Ok, now I have a headache.

How do I get these fucktard neighbors to stfu?!?!?! There is a trailer with a front door about 500 feet from my front door. When I moved here it was owned by a lovely elderly gentleman named John, who lived in the house next to it with his wife except when she got on his nerves, when he'd stay in the trailer. Then, he split the property and sold the house and the trailer. The house was bought by a decent couple with a disabled child. Now both parents are disabled, and all 3 are a very sad situation, with a yard covered with rusted out lawn mowers and other junk they try to sell.

But the trailer situ is worse. Far worse. It was bought by a manufactured housing company for access to the hundreds of acres behind it that will someday come available. In the meantime they rent it out. The 1st tenant was a thief. He stole a neighbor's dalmation (fortunately recovered a few towns away), he was casing my place and had a buyer all lined up for my horse that he was planning to steal. Luckily he ended up in jail and his girlfriend dumped him and neither has been seen since. Then we had a nice quiet young woman for about a year.

And now this. Some freeper, freeptard family that blares rock music full blast outside or with doors and windows open, all day every day. My house can be completely closed up and I can hear it. I couldn't study for my microbiology exams for days at a time last fall because of the racket.

And then there's the explosions. Yes. They set off some sort of bombs. Sometimes half a dozen in a day. My windows rattle. The horses and dogs panic. So do I. Last fall I was outside twice when they went off and I saw smoke billowing over the roof of their trailer with one, and out from between the trailer and barn with the other.

I called the cops repeatedly to no avail. They told me it was probably "duck hunting." I explained about the smoke. They blew me off.

Tonight the explosions were more like gunfire. Two of them in a row. And I totally lost it and started screeching at them at the top of my lungs to "SHUT UP!!!! SHUT UP!!!! SHUT THE GODDAM MOTHERFUCK UP!!!!! YOU AREN'T THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THE UNIVERSE YOU KNOW!!!!! SHUT UP!!!! SHUT UP!!!!! SHUT UP!!!!!"

A fat woman came out from behind the trailer and stared at me. And then they shut the front door so I could only just hear their rock music, and not at all now that I'm inside. No explosions since, either.

But I'm afraid of the repurcussions. I'm a middle-aged, former-middle-class, single transplant. Which is the same as saying I'm a dangerous terr'ist.

I'm thinking maybe if I get a really loud thing, like a truck horn, and blare it from behind a tree the next time they start there shit...and there will be a next time and a next time and a next time...it will get the message across?!? That if they continue to destroy my peace of mind (not to mention any chance I have of selling this place) I have the means to retaliate? But I don't know where to buy such a thing. A foghorn? Do marine stores have them? There's at least one nearby. I mean, my throat can't take a whole lot of this, not to mention the headache afterwards...
